Moody Cavalier 36 - what is it like to sail

I am looking at a moody cavalier 36 which I understand is a 1970 boat based on a moody halbardier hull. My question is what does it sail like? I accept it is an old boat and don't expect it to be quick but will I be able to sail it without simultaneously motoring all the time. Any experience of these would be greatly appreciated as I want a boat I can actually sail even if it is slow.

it most probably sails the same as the halberdier..
