A bit basic this but the boat is new to me. The electrical panel is an antiquated affair with a 1/2/Both switch which will have to be replaced with a Voltage sensitive relay. However the functions of the "domestic" and nav lights etc are all push switches. My question is quite simple. Where are the fuses????? Am I being really dumb here? I cant see them!!! Doh!

Well I thought that might be the case but the circuit giving power to my nav instruments has expired. The button still stays depressed and the light is on. Perhaps there is an in line fuse somewhere too ? Tomorrow I will take the panel off and have a look-see. I have been installing a chart plotter with AIS replacing an earlier one at the helm and may have blown a fuse trying to identify which wire gives AIS signal etc. That's all sorted OK now but all other instruments have gorn ded.

What does your multimeter say?

Moodys usually use push on - push off circuit breakers, with a neon indicator light.
OK thanks. If that is indeed what they are I think it likely that some kind previous owner has fitted a separate line fuse somewhere in addition to the breaker. I will investigate the electrical spaghetti tomorrow.

As already said, Moody fitted push button thermal breakers as standard, made by ETA.

Many plotters etc come with fitted inline fuses, so it's likely one of those has been left in place and has fused.
