I've heard rumours that the pontoons have been extended and repaired there. Does anyone have recent experience of the place? I'm thinking of hiding there to wait for a weather window for Crete.

was in there on a flot about 2 weeks a go, it all semed tidy enough, plenty of room and it's always good fun watching the turtles in the harbour.

Good place to hide. Water on quay if you have along hose. Heickell shows a 'Phase 2' set of pontoons which do not exist, nor are they likely to in the current climate. Man appears within minutes of arrival offering fuel. Supermarket in town and the old citadel and castle on the rock are well worth a visit. Go in the evening and catch the sunset from the top of the rock but do take a torch!
