Hi guys,
I hope you are all well.
I'm looking for some assistance. I recently discovered I have a mold problem from a shower leak into my bilge. As if having mold isn't bad enough. a water leak into the bilge of a steel boat is worse!
I've fixed the leak and the bilge has dried out, the problem is, it's under the shower tray and access is through a small inspection hatch and then down under the floor. I stuck my hand in with a phone camera to get an idea of what I'm dealing with. Pictures attached.
I'm keen to remove mold for health reasons, however, I'm reluctant to use water or any chemical or vinegar that will lift the paint from the steel hull. Is there such a thing as a smoke treatment or something else aerosol that I could spray in?
Many thanks for any suggestions.
Best,
BM
