Just looking for modern explorer boat, approx. 20m / 65 feet:
- Azimut 66 Magellano
- Absolute Navetta 64
- Beneteau Grand Trawler 62 (new on the market)

Any opinions (pros / cons)? Quality difference between mentioned shipayrds?
Some will say Azimut is be the obvious choice,... but is it?

This . You not set a budget so maybe an aspiration ? You have only mentioned “ quality difference between ship yards “ If that’s what you are prioritising then look no further than this yard
They do a 70 as well .

Also check out the Apreamare maestro range bespoke yard + build .

Thanks for both replies. I agree... maybe trawler is more suitable name... or even crossover, like in car industry.
Budget: 1,5m - 2m.
BGX: beautifull, also San Lorenzo SX76, Canados Oceanic, Isa Extra.... but not for moy budget yet :(

I would rather run than walk away from both the Maestro and the BGX, for the very same reason why I ruled out the Absolute.
I.e., not because they aren't good boats: they are certainly better than the Beneteau in more ways than one, and possibly also better than the Magellano in some respects, depending also on personal tastes.
Trouble is, these three yards didn't resist the temptation to save on production costs by adopting the IPS, without caring at all about the headaches attached to them in the long run for the boat owner - particularly on any vessel pretending to be a long range cruiser, where IPS would make no sense even if it were reliable and durable.
Proof of that is that not only the largest boatbuilder of the planet rejected IPS for all their Magellano series, but even Beneteau resisted the IPS lure - go figure.
Then again, if you are thinking to buy the boat brand new, and sell it as soon as the warranty expires (or not much later), then IPS with its bells and whistles could be fun.
