I did not say all MOBO owners can't navigate, just the one trying to get to the UK by going in a south-westerly direction from St Vaast!

That's the trouble with MOBOs. So expensive to run its cheaper to take them everywhere by lorry.

What do you mean? I've seen loads of Mobo owners navigate all the way from the pontoon to the marina restaurant. Even more impressive, most of them make it back OK to the weekend cottage OK. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You may joke but I for one have noticed the distinct lack of british MoBo's about cruising france both north and south brittany coast. it must be to do with the price of fuel.

Overheard in a marina recently ...
MOBO skipper: I'm glad that's over. I didn't like that fog. We got lost.
Raggie skipper: Oh yes?
MOBO: Yes. We saw the fog coming down and set a course straight back here before it came down. We ended up aground on the sand at ....... [90 degrees off course, across a shipping lane]
Raggie: Ah!
MOBO: Yes. I thought we were going in a straight line but we must have been turning the whole time.
Raggie: Hmm!
MOBO: I know what I'm doing first thing Monday morning. Buying a compass for the boat!
