Friend of mine is coming up to his 50th and wants to splash out.

Looking for:-
1 day charter of Sunnysqueeker Manhatten/ F'line squaddie or similar for 20 guests including full hospitality etc

Location South coast UK or Antibes

suggestions?

Hi was this the boat on t v a couple of weeks ago being rescued by the rnli having lost it's anchor, hope they got a new anchor&chain mm1

Well i have a squad 58 in Antibes. berthed on the fabulous Mole Sud, with captain and stewardess. 2004 boat, full refit this winter so like new. €3000/day, forum rate €2500.

Thing is, virtually no boats are licensed for >12, not even 80m superyachts at €50,000 a day. Getting coding for >12pax requires a wole load of engineering that usually isn't feasible/desirable. There are just a few licensed for 36, but they are in the €50,000 day bracket.

Mine is licensed for 12 guests + 2 crew

This 12pax limit applies at sea. It is ok to have >12 when tied to the quay

Edit: maybe best answer is charter my Sq58 AND houghn's P57, as both are coded. They are moored side-by-side on Mole Sud in Antibes so you can have one party, and you can split your party into 2 groups for the passages then tie the boats together at anchor so again you have one party

Seafin (Solent based) will take up to 30, but I suspect she's not quite what your mate has in mind.

Has he tried Sunseeker Charters? They should have all the answers so far as Squeakers are concerned. I think you can charter Eddie Irvine's "Snapper" via them /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Yep but all coded squeakers are 12 guests. No squeaker has ever been coded to the next category for >12 guests. The cheapest way to get 24 guests and still have "one party" is to rent 2 near identical boats which are moored literally side by side. Preferably in a premium location like antibes south side. (Sorry for the (re) plug but I don't plug charters much on here so I thought I'd make up for lost time /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Brilliant idea! Please send us the photo of 20 guests on a motorcat

20 guests plus crew (he said full hospitality) on a 30foot boat? They could take it in turns I suppose :-) Seriously, how many folks is the motorcat coded for?

Sorry did not read thread properly. Coded for 5 - really more suited for a family charter. 20 person corporate would be extremely cosy but has been used as a photo boat/runaround in place of a rib for large scale corporate work.

We can do 12 + 3 crew Tico on FP 44' power cat in Torquay if he wants South Coast - equiv. deck and flybridge space to 55/60 footer and much less rolly of course! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Usually do Torquay - Dartmouth - Salcombe on day charter with full catering of course. PM me for prices if interested.

"Is this the boat" etc.
Wouldn't be surprised as I note that their "specification" page says that they can charter from Leamington. They'd have a hell of a job getting her up the R. Avon, let alone then up the Leam /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
Their publicity blurb must have been written by someone at IPC /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yes but happened last last summer I thought in Falmouth - chain broke during night and ended up on the rocks. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Was out of service for several months.
