I bought a pure sine wave invertor just over 2yrs ago. The unit has had very little use and has been well looked after. It has now developed a fault and the distributor (Waeco UK) is not interested at all. They say once the unit's 1yr warranty is up, their repair service is prohibitively expensive and that I should buy a new one!!!!
Now I foolishly paid £130 for this and they can't even provide me with a circuit diagram to enable me to get it repaired locally.
Be warned. Mobitronic in the hands of Waeco UK is bad news.
Can anyone recommend a more reliable make which has a back-up service? I am looking for a 150-300w pure sine wave unit to power a video etc.

I bought a 24v to 12v psu/charger from them. I blew it up twice - the I/P circuit couldn't handle an unregulated O/P from a 24v wind generator. They replaced it without hassle each time. Granted it was within its warrenty period, but dubious as to whether excessive I/P would be covered.
I visited them in person, as they are not far from my home, and found that they arn't more than importers/warehouse for Waeco a German Company.
