Mobile voice calls Croatia

Anyone know of any good deals on Mobile voice calls from Croatia to UK. I'll be there for about 4 weeks this year pretending that "Ive just popped out of the office" so I do need a fair few minutes. I have UK Orange contract but it looks like I'll be paying around £1.30 per minute to call the UK and 70p per minute to receive from UK.
Im sure I could find an old unlocked phone in a drawer somewhere if a local SIM is the answer.

I used T-Mobile's "Simpa" Sim whilst I was there.

UK-calls, whatever you do, are going to be quite expensive though.

You will save the charge when you're called however.

My orange phone was lockedto the croatian networks so I ha to buy a new phone and sim
Get your spare phone unlocked before u go

Why not keep your phone or get a pay as you go AND get a ''gym sym'' There are no charges for recieving calls and it is VERY cheap to call.

Vodafone have introduced an offer that lasts from 1 June to the end of August that makes roaming from Croatia free. We have just taken out a Vodafone sim card, and a Freedom 300 pack that for £20 a month gives us 300 minutes of Croatia to UK calls and unlimited received calls.

I recommend to buy new cheap mobile here in Croatia, there are 3 mobile operators, and packages are quite cheap for international calls.
