MOB / Dan Buoy

Should the Dan buoy normally be attached to a horse-shoe buoy or something similar or is it better to be able to deploy both as seperate devices?

The Dan Buoy should have a line fixed to the flotation device and the night light and a drogue

Have the drogue then the light then the dan buoy then the horse shoe with about 20 ft between them they then string out with the wind and give the casualty a better chanc eto rech something they can pull. Then to launch throw the ring then the danbuoy and the rest just follows
