You can upgrade, free of charge, on-line on the OFCOM site, (best of luck), but first you need to register. It takes them several days to post you a password to access your licence details. Otherwise you can do it by post, but I think this costs about £20 if I remember correctly.

A change of that nature, you add you new gear and delete the old, is relatively simple to do on line BUT if you have not used the online system before read the "Help and guidance" pdfs.
In particular if you are using IE7 read the one about "What to do if you have problems downloading your licence" before you attempt download and print the new licence.

The website is http://www.ofcom.org.uk/licensing/olc/

I agree with the other replies, but be warned the Ofcom site is a minefield and hard to get to grips with.
I just upgraded to a dsc last week, I got p***d off trying and just emailed them, got a reply next day with a pdf of new licence, then got a letter in the post yesterday to validate it, sent it back today.
Just email them with all your and boats, and radio/s details and say you cant hack(?) fathom the site.
