I know that it is not good practice to mix battery types. I have just fited 2 new 85ah AGM batteries on the house side , last year I fitted a new 130 agm on the engine. the thought has ocurred to me to swop one 85 for the engine start and thus gain 45 extra maps in the house side. ( the engine is a very good starter and I have a 1 2 both switch)

Would this be good or bad.??

THanks in advance.

Sell one of the 85's, buy another 130, use the two 130's for "house" and the remaining 85 for engine start. - /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think mixing batteries is a good idea. Use a car starting battery for starting and a deep cycle battery for "house".
