Mixer valve (cold side) for sink tap required - Can anyone help me to find source?

Folks,
As title says, the cold valve on the mixer tap on one of the sinks won't close fully so need to order a replacement.

Can anyone point me in the right direction going by the pics below? The valve was removed with a 17mm spanner (That's the size of the big nut on it)

I've seen these taps on lots of boats before so hoping it will be an easy find.

Looks like a standard ceramic disc cartridge to me , any plumbers merchant should be able to match it . Good luck .

As above, but you might find it better to bight the bullet and replace the tap,

Thanks for the info, what you say makes sense as the inside is like 2 half discs and is ceramic

OK now that I found the correct name for the item (ceramic disc cartridge) eBay is throwing up loads of results.... thanks for the help folks!

ALL SORTED

Went to local merchants, they didn't have the exact same size but I could see that the big rubber washer was universal fit. Hoping that this was the problem I swapped them round and HEY PRESTO! Didn't even mind having to buy the whole cartridge as it was such an easy fix... certainly cheaper than changing the whole tap!
