mitsubishi thornetcroft engines

Has anyone fitted a mitsubishi thorneycroft T95into a moody 33 mk 1 if so how was the event and what were the problems, if any. I'm thinking of replacing the old BL thorneycroft with this new one. Anyone got any advice. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have just replaced a T80 with a T95 in a 346.

I did it all myself and didn't meet any big problems. The part that took the longest was separating the cockpit sole from the bearers it was glued to.

Using Thornycroft, I sent the old engine back and they fitted the engine feet on the new engine in exactly the same place as the old.

Holes in the bearers lined up exactly.

They were very helpful and can recommend the engine. I have done 126 hours so fa this season and it is a very stress free engine with plenty poke.

Talk to Thornycroft re a trade-in, as you will be pleasantly suprised. I was!

I have no connection with Thornycfroft other than a very satisfied customer.

Yes. I did consider Beta, Nanni, Yanmar and Volvo.

Did mine last year in our M41 - after initial teething problems it has run sweet as a nut. We have twin alternators running.
Good engine.
