I bought the bracket new in april before launching. 3 weekends ago i notice the bolts had disappeared into the thames. i got some non marine steel bolts for temporary at b and q. but as i fitted them the top spring fell into the drink too now :(

pacermarine couldnt help as they said they have no spares nor do the suppliers. does anyone know where i can get spares from if possible.

many thanks

many thanks, but im unsure on type of spring

It's a torsion spring but one could be cut from a tension spring. The trick is to determine the wire diameter and the O/D of the spring. The number of turns could be counted from the pic.

What I do in cases like this is to visit my local spring maker and sort through their demo stock to find several that I think may do and try them.

If you know roughly where, is it worth going fishing with a magnet???

Sounds like bull**** to me. OK Pacer do not manufacture but the manufacturer must have "spares" after all they are still being manufactured/sold. I would ask Pacer for the contact details of the manufacturer so you can contact them yourself (odds are they will not give you the details) Any other marking on the bracket? Manufacturer's name? OK if they will not play nicely look up the MD's details in Co house and send him an email along the lines he supplies but his staff will not support the product - springs of that sort are a consumable Ask him for spares or contact details where you can talk with the manufacturer yourself.
Point him towards this thread where his company is getting a bad name for customer support.
Thanks for the heads up by the way - I know where NOT to go when looking for boaty bits
