Seems so long ago since old father Thames said "I'm orf" then disappeared down the river.
Wonder where he is now?

Still in Ramsgate. I haven't heard anymore about his engines. Not sure if that is a good sign or not!

Its about this time of a morning when I log on I usually catch up with Byron as he is looking or a late night feast, but as he hasnt logged on I am here all alone like some Norman No Mates!

I just want my boat back in the water ;-(

Re:Alive and most definately kicking

Meeting Byron tomorrow at Ramsgate then we're off to Dunkerque.
I'm supposed to keep it quite but he's just celebrated his sixtieth birthday! Ask him about his birthday red wine consumption next time you hear from him.
His engines are fine now that the primary filters have been changed so he is a happy bunny once more.
Now picture this if you can... A distinguished(well sort of), well spoken ex ship's captain of sixty years old, immaculately dressed even in his casuals, cravate and all, weighing around twenty stone(sorry Byron), hurtling toward you on, believe it or not, an electric micro scooter, all be it a very hard working micro scooter! Pictures to follow. The streets and feet of Ramsgate are being terrorised by a battery powered Byron.
Any messages for him?
Cheers
Syd

Re:Alive and most definately kicking

wish him well and Bon Voyage from Clive Neighbour
(of Broom Crown and nearly Princess 435 fame then he'll remember, being 60 memory probably needs a prod)

Re:Alive and most definately kicking

....amd being 20 stone, stomach probably needs a prod too.

Ask him when was the last time he saw his feet. Is that why he's using the leccie scooter, 'cos he can't see 'em?

I dived under his boat in Ramsgate yesterday to check his anodes and give them a scrub. He also asked me to check his bottom but I drew the line there!
