Someone did that with my dingy-pulled it out of the storage rack to make room for theirs and dumped it completely out of view behind the racks.Searched the yard high and low for the dingy and had just about given up hope when I spotted it-its solid seat thwart I tracked down elsewhere in the yard!
Best one is when you loose car in car park and finally remember that you parked it the other side of town in the other car park you regularly use!!

My father as he got older regularly 'lost' his car in the local Sainsburys, so we came up with a little burgee for his car aerial. All well for about three weeks, by which time there were over a dozen cars parked with aerial burgees.... :)

A few months ago I was in Milton Keynes and lost the car. Well it all looks the same! Next time I go I am taking the portable GPS and hitting the MOB when parking the car! :D:D:D

There is the story of a woman who couldn't find her car in a huge airport car park, and in desperation enlisted the help of a policeman.

When they eventually found it he noticed the bright red canoe on the roof rack.

We forgot where we'd parked a hire car in a town in Portugal once, not only that, we couldn't really remember what it looked like - some, small black hatchback, probably. The only solution was to wander round the likely streets blipping the key until a car (any car) unlocked and flashed its light at us. It only took about half an hour to track it down!

That happened to me in Washington - all American cars look the same!

In a previous existence I used to travel a bit for work, sometimes the hard bit is trying to remember the make of hire car never mind where I left it. Pre blipper, glad no one spotted me trying the keys in random cars in the car park!
Worst one was booking into my hotel, deciding it was a nice evening so went for a walk and a try at the local beer. Hard enough to find your hotel when you get a bit lost in a strange town but forgetting it's name makes it worse!
