Missing boat. Mum and Dads Getaway

Enjoying nice day yesterday anchored up in totland bay. Heard on channel 16 of boat 'Mum and Dads Getaway' which left Newtown Creek wednesday evening and never showed up at cowes. Think boat was 25 ft bayliner. Did google search on them and saw that lifeboat went to their rescue in Aug 08 when they were taking on water in engine compartment. Just sent shivers down my spine as 2 adults and 2 young children on board (3 and 1) same age as my two. Hopefully they turned up somewhere safely! Anyone heard any news?

Yikes. Yes I heard their call last August when we were on our boat in the Solent...hope all is well.

FAMILY FOUND SAFE AND WELL

A family of four that was believed to have gone missing has been found safe and well.

Two adults and children were on board the boat 'mom and dads getaway' which hadn't been seen since Wednesday evening when it left Newtown Creek.

Coastguards have confirmed the family is safe and well.

Good news. They must be on first name terms now with coastguard.

I guess because someone, one would think a family member, who knew they were out and about on the water reported to the CG that they were missing, when in actual fact... they were probably sitting on their boat happy that the weather forecast was wrong, and actually it was sunny and they had decided to go somewhere else apart from Cowes!!

From the sound of it they have "previous", so I guess better to be safe than sorry?
