Another rig option?
Not so good for getting under bridges though.

there are more of the Liberties about than the minstrels

same hulls, same deck moldings

I would have bought one if I could have got one cheap enough

but I think on balance the rig on the Minstrel will look better on the DVDs

and one short mast seems easier to handle than two quite tall ones

I have raised the mast on the Minstrel

I think it is quite doable as a solo job

Jill helped me with it the first time

but now I know how to to do it no probs

Quite right, Dylan, I think those masts are unstayed & keel mounted so not a quick up & down process! I was not ever planning to go under bridges - except for a few designed for square riggers to pass under (like Menai Straits crossings)

They're unstayed, but I think they're designed to go up and down quickly. The forward one at least, I believe has a channel in the foredeck for the foot to swing up through. Not sure what the arrangements are for the after one. Maybe there are clues on Dylan's boat, if they use the same mouldings.

No stays means less stuff to faff about with when bringing masts up and down.
