I bought a boat with a mini-M and the previous owner told me that I was welcome to any credit he had left of the phone - over £200 worth! I approached the service provider who changed the contract over to my name and I am in business. I don't pay a monthly connection fee, but I would pay a higher call cost - not that we plan to use it much - and I have given them my VISA card so they will 'top up' the account in multiples of £250 whenever I run out. Do they charge on time or bytes for data transfer ? What baud rate/file size limitations are there and how much does it really cost ?
SSB email is diabolical.

I haven't checked their data prices assuming it to be way outside my league. Try calling Gemma on the number I gave you - they are very helpful. I shall use SailMail when I can't get WiFi, GPRS or internet cafes.

I use France Telecom - at under 2 dollars a minute - no line rental. I use skyfile email (or will be)
