2. Communication In each of these incidents the commercial vessel and Port Control were unable to contact the leisure vessel via VHF. All vessels are required to maintain a listening watch on Channel 12 while in the Haven. This way you will be aware of what is moving and where, as well as hearing the pre-movement warnings broadcast for specified vessels (generally VLCC and LNG ships)

Very interesting document, I agree with 'tico' should be compulsory reading at all marinas etc.
We always dual watch 16/12 when visiting the Haven.
