I have had experiance in stomes and will not be looking for shelter in upto force 9s.
Can take up to 5 but only need 1 this will take 3 to 4 weeks and will be stopping for fule if needed.
this boat holds 1000L of water and has a range of 700 to 800 miles under engine but if we can keep her up to 5 knots we will sail, we will not sail faster than 8.5 knots
I will pay for all food /drink you will pay for your flights would like to meet in brighouse west yorkshire for a beer just to make sure we get on (my glass is half full not half empty) /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Hello Robert

I am looking to do a qualifiying passage for my Oceanmasters (600nm), what dates are you contemplating? I work offshore and have 6 weeks off in rotation.

Regards

Mar Frankland

Sorry the boat is now in cyprus, I was mistaken when I said max sailing speed 8.5 knots The Crew Roger, Ian, Frank and my self got it up to 11.8 knots down the waves.

Thanks to all that crewed and offerd to crew.

Regards Robert Evans

Just to add
The trip took 12 days 13 nights, I think over 7 bottles of bicardi and a few beers, with around 30 hours in Malta and an emergancy stop of 1.5 hours in create for bicardi.
Roger can cook like a chef with only a minor egg loss in sever gails with pans gimberling to vertical, I can make and serve 4 cardi n cokes in the same conditions (tip use pegs to fastern your glasses together while on a none slip mat).
I did tell the crew that the cockpit was a dry one based on past experiance we found this like the 8.5 knots was not true at best a cold salty wash now and again at worst a white wave comming over the stern and filling the cockpit these events as said by Ian was not in the brosher and did effect the taste of all berverages.
All in all a grate trip untill I ran out of fule but thats a common event for me (tip if you fastern your dingey to to stern a 2.3hp will replace a 82hp and do 2 knots)

Thanks to all
Regards Robert Evans
