A formula has been suggested for making up a teak oil. I am thinking of trying it to replace Deks Olje.

I don't want a wood stain solution and as the boat is under a cover when not in use I can handle a higher maintenance solution. However there is a nice crop of mildew growing on the Deks Olje so if I am going to make up my own I am thinking that I should put some fungicide in the mix.

The suggested formula is
1/3 Tung Oil
1/3 'Boiled' Linseed Oil
1/3 Turpentine

What should I add to make it mildew proof?

Why not add some of the solution used to clear moss from paths or simply wash deck down on a dry day with a solution of it. Some is bound to soak into the timber.

Flood [Non-commercial punt!] do a product that I used VERY effectively in the paint on my bathroom ceiling- it's an oil-based fungicide, so it'll mix with the rest of the oils in the formulation.
