My Mikuni MX40 hot water heater keeps tripping on overheat. Ive narrowed it down to airflow over the heat exchanger isnt great enough when all the ducts are connected. with no ducts and free air flow then all works well for hours on end. There is a temperature sensor on the heater which should shut the heat off at 85 degrees ( ie before it locks out on overheat) so either the temp sensor s faulty or the overheat thermister (93 degrees ) is faulty

Anyone any experience of similar or where. can I get it serviced /checked around the north west/ north wales.

I dont really want to package it up and send it to Mikuni down south as 1 the postage costs will require a remorgage on the house and 2 Ill get charged a minimum price irrespective of what they find/do.

Any advice welcome cause its pretty chilly out there.
