mifi in france

A recent thread extolled the 3 mifi so I bought one one a short visit to the uk over Easter, witb 3 months credit, prepaid.. It worked fine there and also now in France. I enjoy a new independence and will be curious to see how 3 treats any overstay in this country.

Two questions

Can you replace tbe 3 sim with a French one in the same mifi? What do you actually ask for?

If I ask a friend to bring out a new UK 3 sim card can I activitate it in France?

We have used our Mifi all over euorope , just replace the sim with a local sim ,

We do the same, but we just go down to our boat for breaks and then return to the UK. My 3 mifi dongle needs to be unlocked by 3. Check online with 3 for what to do with yours. I know they changed their locking policy not long ago for payg mifi dongles. Again I don't know about starting a sim in France as I always kick mine off in the UK.

Buy a unlocked mifi ebay, amazon etc. get sim only deal. In the odd case where the mifi does'nt connect automatically you
you can enter the settings yourself. i.e for Ooredoo in Tunisia
APN: internet.tunisiana.com
Username: internet
password: internet
Settings for other providers / countries can be found on the net.
