Midsomer Murders

SWMBO & I have just watched an episode of Midsomer Murders entitled "The Enemy Within".

The victim (Rex) is found floating below the weir. There is footage of the weir and it's lock.

Which lock and weir were used?

Probably Mapledurham - they filmed there a lot. There is a web site somewhere with all the locations episode by episode

If it's the episode with Henley regatta in as well, I seem to remember the body was found on the River Thame at Dorchester on Thames where it had floated down stream from Henley

We were there back in 2004/2005 when they were filming it! Had a very nice afternoon watching nothing much take place. At first we thought it was a real incident......

I was an extra in a Midsomer edition a few years ago (playing a detective!), no idea what the episode was called but I got £75 for hanging around for about 3 hours in an old school near Watford. When it came to the final version my walk on bit had been left on the cutting room floor.

We were on the booms in Henley when they were filming the rowing episode (Death in the Water) I think, maybe saw my mooring ropes in one scene - my 15 seconds of fame.

When they filmed some episode over at where the Maxwells used to live. Pandora Maxwell rang me and gloated that they paid her £1,800 to use the house and grounds.
