Absolute confidence in spannerman and boat! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif actually lifejacket was just behind me on the seat, once we are up and running and in the cruise and on a big boat and you are seated or lying down we are a bit more relaxed about jackets, on deck or coming into port they go back on again. Each to their own and others wear them all the time. Small boat, different story or with kids on board.

This could be an MBM piccy of the month, shame the sun pad is too small for Long John Trevor! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think I might have been up grinning all the way too. Fantastic! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Sorry.... Life jackets in front or behind makes no difference.

Their designed to be worn, take care out there, please.
Trust me I know, you never get a second chance.....

A lot different from yesterday when it was pretty lumpy.

I went offshore to take pics of a tall ship (pics later) and settled for a nice anchorage out of the wind and much sunshine.

Me baldy bonce is a nice bright red now (ouch) /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

So where were you hiding the 39 then ? The 45 was in her usual berth.

First time I crossed the Irish Sea was Jan 85 , bloody great hoolie of a storm was raging that sent the boat smacking into the sea wall as it cleared Liverpool and went into open waters , all spare crew were running round like idiots trying to stop the water getting in through the doors by stuffing towels and anything they could find around door seals . Not a comfy crossing at all /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

and that was on a ferry /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Errr.... in the Isle of Man, woke up this morning saw the sun shining, jumped on a plane at 09.40, was in Malahide at 11.00 and back home in the isle of man at 15.00 on the 39.

She was in the paint shed at Malahide at 10.00 this am and by jingo did the lads do a fine job!, once they knew I was on the way they had the final polish finished and in the water and fueled up, top stuff, don't know why I was singled out for such service but aint complaining! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm glad you received good service from Malahide. The new bloke in charge of the yard is Grant and as you said, top bloke and knows his stuff. The team under him are also up to the job.

I left SV2 with them when I was down at Palma and they did a great job - looks new again.

They also spotted a couple of minor things and attended to these for me.

Got a call from Grant asking when I'll be back so that he can have SV2 back in for when I get back.

Sure enough they dropped her in as arranged.

I'm well chuffed.
