I am trying to enter the Round Island Yacht race and there is a bunch of stuff I am unable at this point to answer to enable ISC to give my boat the correct handicap. Can anyone help with:
Mainsail half width
Mainsail Three quarter width
Total area of mainsail
Furling foresail LP
Total area of furling foresail
These things are not in the Spec and I am not with my sails and cannot measure but need to complete my entry
Also if anyone has entered an MG Spring 25 in this race what values did you use for the Empty weight and sailing displacement the spec for dissplacement is 2000Kg

Thanks

Many yacht racing bodies have a ready calculated handicap for a huge variety of production yachts. In Oz it is called CBH class basic handicap. Such that the form may be simply for the sake of completion and thye may be satisfied with a simple certification that it complies with the class or manufacturers specifications. Unfortunately also they may not accept that statement so eityher contact ISC or try to provide the numbers. Is it time to register already? my how the winter (summer to me) flies olewill

It works OK if you tell them it's a 'standard rig' (assuming it is!) as they should have lots of data for a spring.

Cheers
