Does anyone have any direct experience of drying out an MG Spring on a mooring twice a day?

Is it advisable to fit separate beaching legs for stability?

Thanks

Thanks wiggy,

Is the problem:

a) Damage to the gelcoat on the rudders
b) Stress on the rudder bearings
c) Stability
or d) make up you own reason :)

Agree that MG Spring is not suited to drying mooring. Rigged and with a strong blow they have been known to blow over and the rudders may get damaged - I had to reinforce my rudder post tubes this year as there were signs of cracking on the fairly thin layer of fibreglass holding the tube to the transom. I use a swinging mooring in Chichester Harbour which means I can get on and off the mooring on my own whenever I like. Those on a tidal mooring are significantly constrained. But they are half the cost....
