So, after loosing or using no oil for the last 12 years. She finally blew a gasket, on her way to her final resting place. Well until gets sold anyway.

What narks me is. She obviously started loosing oil with the first "Professional " skipper. Because the second one found her low on oil.

So I insisted he checked regularly. I'd never seen her less than full.

Anyway it seems the second skipper never checked in 130 miles, whilst knowing there was a problem.

Thirdly. he left her in gear, which caused other problems. When the engineer stared her up.

So it's engine out, to mend the problem. Not as difficult as it seems with a big fork lift. But still a big job

But still not some thing you want to do whist dropping price.

I suppose it's better it going now than when it was on a sea trial or the first trip with a new owner.

Are you getting another boat?

Sillly.

Back and legs gone. MF is a dream machine. Never had a problem before.

She's just kicking her clogs up about being sold.

Haydn

doesn't seem fair after all the miles and adventures, does it ? That boat has personality.

It might seem a bit black clouds at the moment, but sunshine on the way. I have read the runes !

sorry to hear, what a PITA...

professional skipper...my arse, may have the qualifications, but couldn't take clear instruction to check oil level..

Amazing how boats know when its just the wrong time to play up!
