currently sits on an old doube axle trailer - historic not bought for this boat
MF 695 weight with engine and stores ? 2100kg

used in the yard, 200m trip each way behind a tractor for launching and recover
yard surface is a mixture of concrete and hard core

there are some quite tight turns involved thus there is a fair amount of wheel scrunching going on during this
so far i have had one intereference bearing pop out, presumably due to the side forces and possible age of the setup

can i switch over to tapered bearings, single axle for this job ?

tnx

The single axle trailer will put way less side load on the bearings.

Just find an old 1800kg axle, strip out the brakes and put a new set of bearings in. Pump the tyres up…

Put the axle where the second axle used to be, that way the tractor will take most of the weight.
