Hi folks, anyone owned one of these or has experience/opinions.
This ones 1989, single Magnum 350 Mercruiser petrol, (reckon 350 may mean 3500cc ? anyone know the horse power) Anyone know approx value.

This one has additionals like sea toilet (not portaloo) electric windlass. Also has trim tabs

I believe it maybe a Don Shead hull, so it should handle, again any opinions?
Thanks in advance Clive

the 350 magnum is a nice small block engine and I would think would suit this size of boat well, any bigger and it would lose out to the bigger block V8's. The newer 350 magnums have 300hp being '89 like Nat says it will have about 260hp.

The engine isnt too thirsty and is the tried and trusted small block its an uprated standard 5.7 and then 350 mag was produced from that.

as for the boat no idea!

Have a survey, these are prone to cracking on the sprayrails & some stresscraze the hull sides if tthaey have been driven hard, on the engine make sure you check th manifolds have been changed as theses are also liable to let go resulting in engine rebuild

Just sold my mexico as it was too small for cruising with the family, but as a dayboat it was superb! It had a 2002 kad32 170hp diesel engine which pushed it up to 32kn very swiftly and full power full lock turns were no problem, the grip was as good as a Windy Mirage 25 .
Trim tabs were a must as it was affected by wind and weight distribuition.Never had any problems with the hull or fittings and found it very well built.
The cockpit had plenty of lounging space and the sunbed was usable even when underway.
Cockpit storage was excellent but the cabin would soon fill up with beding etc. when overnighting with the four of us.
If you need any more info please ask.
