Metropolitan Police launch seen in West Mersea

Saw a Met Police launch cruising slowly round West Mersea harbour on the high tide at lunchtime yesterday. First time I have ever seen a Met launch in Mersea. Anyone have any idea what was the occasion? Maybe the Essex Police boats were just busy……..
