Metric Track ?

The slides on my main are 7/8ths. The internal measurement of the track is 25mm wide by 5mm deep inside the lip. I think the 7/8ths are too loose but can't seem to find any alternative. Are slides the only item not in metric sizes and just how much clearance is required? Jimbo.

7/8" into 25mm gives a little bit less than 1.5mm clearance each side. I would have thought that was snug enough in a 'unlubricated scenario'.

When I had a new main fitted the sailmaker arrived with about 50 different slides on a piece of string and I tried them untill we got to the correct one. He also had both plastic and metal so that he could use metal ones on the headboard. If you already have one or can get a sailmaker to drop onboard they should be able to help you out.
