I'm currently in Bayona &, compared with France, meths (or cooking alcohol) for my Origo stove is expensive (2.15E/litre). I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it is cheaper in Portugal? Heres hoping /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This price seems very high to me. In Spain it is called alcohol a quemar. I checked the price with my pharmacy-friend and he told me the price is 1.65 euro/litre. It is possible that the price in a big supermarket is lower. I have no idea of the prices in Portugal.

In the past, I have bought surgical spirit instead, in 20l drums. Useful one to remember if you end up in an alcohol free zone.
