I need to use a metal (s/s) section in my raw water feed to the exhaust enbow.
Can anyone suggest a supplier?
It's easy to buy pipe but not to get the ridge for a hose connection made up at the ends.

What we used to do was wrap a length of stainless welding rod around the pipe, tack weld it on, and Bobs your Mums brother.

Over time the brass in the domestic fittings would have lost its zinc - behaving just like the anode on the boat. It's dodgy, but is probably OK if inspected regularly and known to be a possible danger point.

I find that many 'Dangerous' things are safe, so long as you know they're dangerous and take appropriate steps to make them safe. I had a petrol stove that was potentially lethal - covered itself in flaming petrol every other use - but as long as I kept an eye on it all the time I could use it without too much risk to life & limb.

Regards

Richard.

Copper pipe is fine with sea water, brass not, but just a section of copper pipe will be fine, why do you need barbs on the end of the pipe? Not actually needed, where there is no pressure, (as there isnt in this application) just make sure the clips are tight.
