I thought I knew my way around synoptic charts, but what are the blue + signs in between the blue cold front triangles presently running SW to NE over England ?
It's on the Weather symbols page; Weakening Cold Front/Warm Front(frontolysis) Front weakening or losing its identity.
On that page, however, they are not actual plus signs but resemble them with the two strokes at an angle of about 20 degrees.
Generally, on synoptic charts they seem to be represented by conventional plus signs.
