Dear all,

Firstly I wanted to apologies for my last comment on the forum on Friday, I do feel it was exceptionally rude of me to name call!

Please however note the following

a) The first I heard about this forum was a rather rude email from a forum member who took it upon himself to source my contact details and pretty much insult me without any justification. It was not until I asked what he was talking about, did I find out about this thread on the forum.

b) Upon writing a response to the forum, explaining that I had nothing to do with it, I was then greeted with a further barrage of insults stating that I was related to Adam ( who I still have no clue who he is)

c) A forum member began to post really patronizing replies, and so I offered a reply (which went a little too far), for which I  do apologies for.

I read the replies this morning and was shocked to find images of myself, with further posts insulting me personally. I find this to be highly unprofessional and quite frankly really quite rude.

I would like to thank the few forum members who took it upon themselves to email me and apologies for the responses that were being posted on the website.

Please note that I stand by what I said, I had no involvement in this 'advertisement', neither did any of my relatives, work colleagues etc . . . .

Many thanks for your time,

Kind Regards

Jonathan

P.S. KEITH.....Can he now be let in again and unbanned,

Paul

Very interesting that the Jon called me a complete muppet when I was correcting Adam's spelling of tolerant.

I would find it difficult to believe that these chaps were not acting in concert.

For Adam to register, make this first post within minutes of registering, and then claim no linkage , to say the least, strains credibility

PS Apologise is spelt A P O L O G I S E ;-)

Guys,

You can not blame me for spelling, I simply cut and paste it. I also agree it looked fishy so followed it up seperately. I believe all was in order, and if Jon gets back on he will let you know himself

No No No

The world is full of simple coincidences - for example there are two kitesurfers who use the same beach who purely by coincidence ...

"The beach also has its own range of superstars; here are a few names to watch out for: Nik Baker (has a flat here), Mat Pearch, Scott Topham, Laird Ross (Don't tell him he's good cos his head is big enough already! - can be recognised as he constantly says did you see my back/push/double loop? Of course nobody did!!), Adam XXXXXXXX, Jon XXXXXX, The kitesurfers - just go down and see for yourself - its easier than writing a big list! The final thing about Shoreham is that EVERYONE is so friendly - so when you do get down there go and speak to a few people and find out about the days sailing conditions. ENJOY!!!"

It's just purely another coincidence that one of those named works for Lagoon - see? The world is full of such things and nothing should be read into them ....

Here is our correspondence. Happy to apologise when I believe it all. Didn't apologise before as Jon was doing a great job of firing weapons into his foot, thus being banned. Would however support a return to the forum in the same way as other commercial posters have, using their skill and knowledge to advise, with a one liner in the signature as 'advertising'.

Well someone is not doing you any favours then. You might consider joining and posting. See the link causing the 'controversy'.

Subject: Re: Numpty advertising on a YBWforum.

Many thanks for you 'useful and highly' informative e-mail.

a) I have not got a clue who adam crosby is?

b) The only info that I have ever placed on a forum was in April last year re; The Ocean Carnival an event whereby we 'give away' free lessons, subsidised by Brighton Council, in order to attract new people into the sport. Please note that this was placed in Dinghy and windsurf online forums and I had not complaints there, as it was deemed 'in the best interest of the sport'.

If you have any further comments, I would be pleased to hear them.

Many Thanks

Jonathan

Dear Jon,
your mate adamcrosby on YBW.com is a complete munchkin. How dreary that you try to advertise against the forum rules with a commercial 'opportunity'. Don't you think it has been tried before, again and again??
Do you realise that YBW has over 80000 members who are now hooting in derision at your very obvious, clumsy advertising blunder. Brilliant marketing, well not quite.

[/ QUOTE ] I didn't realise anyone on here purported to be a professional forumite, and most of us can be quite rude.

And as far as the posting of a pic of him. This is the internet. If you have a pic of yourself on a web site you're asking for it to be posted around. Copyright notwithsanding. The same remedies are available to him as anyone. Sue for breach of copyright. Put some more loot in the lawyers' pockets.

Oi! I take the greatest exception to Jim using this forum to advertise some sort of ecologically sound mould. Anyway what's so good about Ecomould? Traditional mildew is what us real sailors use. It was good enough for Slocum, Hasler, Vasco da Gama, Tilman and, errrmm, and all these other great errrmmm people who didn't need GPS plotters, radar, Fray Bentos, chilled white wine, cherrywood fittings, ummm, to meet the challenge of the seas etc etc etc.

Harrumph!
