It’s Mersea Week, from today until Friday 31st, then the West Mersea Town Regatta cruiser and smack races on Saturday 1st September, so inevitably the weather has arrived too.......all racing cancelled today in view of forecast winds. Just as well the Town Regatta dinghy and MFOB races were last Saturday.
It’s a shame because today is the Dabchicks Sailing Club Regatta. However the Club is still open from lunchtime and there’s live music and ‘Greek street food’ there tonight.
The intention is to run two races on Tuesday 28th to make up for today’s missed ones.
Mersea will be very busy this week so unless you’re racing in the Week or the Regatta, might be as well to head somewhere else........
The Town Regatta annual fireworks display will be on Saturday 1st at dusk.
