My Merryfisher 805 has been unused for a long time due to injury. Sadly it was not winterized so I am now preparing an engine start by checking all the fuel and cooling systems.
I will use a temporary fuel tank to initiate a start. I have removed the impeller plate to check as this was a new pump and impeller before layup. The water when drained was clear. The fuel filter looks clear but I will change these too.
I can see the impeller vanes are not all facing the same way?? Also how do you get the impeller out without doing damage?
