Merry Fisher 795 vs Antares 8

Is anybody familiar with Antares 8 boat? My plan was to buy MF795 S2, but now i got offer for Antares 8 but didn’t seen it in live. Will try in coming weeks... Interior looks similar, probably storage compartments are different etc. Antares has tulip shape hull, so different than MF. Dimensions are similar. MF little bit wider. Price is similar with same equipment, only Antares is offered with Mercury 250 V8 DTS AMS, and MF with Suzuki 200. Can be also equipped with Mercury but then it would be more expensive. Any thoughts?

Nothing to choose between the two in terms of build quality etc. Pick the one that you like best for layout, engine option etc and go with it.
If you have seen one Bene/Jene of this style size and age in the flesh, you have pretty much seem them all

I’ve been looking at the 2 companies‘ boats (895 marlin and Antares barracuda) and much prefer the MF. I thought they were Yamaha though you can spec anything if you like. I obtained a quote for a MF with a Suzuki 350 and the dealer obliged.
The MF is a series 2 which I know is just an update but it could mean less ‘wrinkles‘ throughout the boat.
Where did you get your quotes from?

Yes you are right MF series 2, maybe less wrinkles.
If i put same Mercury on MF, then there is 7000eur difference. I prefer MF, but price difference got me thinking...

Will try to get a quote for Suzuki 250 on MF.
