It's almost the end of our first full year on the Thames and I can't begin to tell you what an enjoyable experience it's been.

We have made new friends, re aquainted ourselves with places along the river we loved from our first boat 20 years ago and spent many a pleasant weekend enjoying everything the Thames has to offer.

So before the real festivities begin and I start on the Chardonnay later today I would like to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Nicely put Ian: we're just ending our first season too.....and still enjoying a few cold days on ther river :D

Merry Christmas to everyone

Simon

I'll fourth it.
Our first boat and first 7 months on the river. Great people, lovely scenery and total relaxation. Other than getting it wrong in a lock or birthing but learning all the time.
Plan to go out next Wednesday.

And seasons greetings from me and the crew as well to all on the forum wherever you may be.
Wasn't expecting to find myself anywhere near boats this weekend but an unexpected trip to collect the turkey resulted in me getting this pic with the iphone earlier this afternoon - a reminder of how cosy life is on the non tidal Thames !
No prizes but anyone care to guess where?

And a Merry Xmas from Ramage, Rebellion and Snowcat (aka Mrs Ramage).

Don't worry, I will be arranging the normal Xmas Day fly past of BA aircraft!!

Oh good, I expect:-
A Comet
A Viscount
A VC10
and of course Speedbird one (Concorde)

Dream on......

One parked at Heathrow, there is another at Brooklands museum where you can also see a Viscount and a VC10.

Why do you expect BA to operate museum pieces? Cunard dont operate the QE2 and the train companies no longer operate the Flying Scotsman....
