1989 100HP Mercury (Sea Ray badged) outboard overheating after 5 to 7 mins idle or slow running.
Plenty of Oil, Good exit water jet.
Engine sounds fine.
Temp gauge goes to Max and Warning buzzer sounds.
Engine prior o the above was fine, but engine has not been run up for some time.
Was initially run up on shore with muffs and seemed fine, but when take short way up river problem accured.
Boat towed back, run up again on shore with muffs and after 5 to 7 mins idle problem accured.
