Hi All,
I have just joined this site and would like some help please.
I have a Sea Ray 160 CB with a Mercury (Sea Ray badged) 100HP 2 stroke outolube outboard circa 1989 that 'appears' to be over heating.
The boat has not been used for some time, and was initially run up using muffs on a work trolly when all seemed ok.
The boat was then taken a short way up the river when the temp gauge went to max and the overheat sounder went off.
The engine was cut straight away and the boat toed back.
I then run it up again again with muffs on shore and after approx 5 to7 mins the temp gauge went to max and the warning sounder went off.
The engine when running soumds fine, and the tell tale water jet sems ok.
Any help would be much appreciated please.
Many thanks ------------ Chris
