I've purchased a Mercury outboard 3.6 for our small Avon inflatable.
However when I got it home there was a loose fuel pipe that came away and I'm not sure if it goes on one fitting or two (loop or just a drain off) if that makes sense.
Took it to my nearest motorboat shop but to be fair to the guy he said that he had not dealt with a lot of sub 80-90's Mercury's.
He said that he thought that there should be a fuel on/off to the carb and someone may have re-worked the fuel line. This may also be why the carb leaks it's tank when filled ?
Can someone take a quick look at the attached photo's and advise what I need to do please. Any assistance is very much appreciated. I want to get the family into boating but it's proving difficult with these types of issues !!
