OK, I'm going to call off the Mercury meet, as current numbers don't make it financially viable, but keep the forum open, so that an informal meet can be arranged by those that still fancy getting together that weekend.

As the sponsorship from MDL is still there, maybe we can try again later in the season. Either summertime (though that means holidays and stuff gets in the way) or maybe right at the end of the season

Once of a day it was about meeting friends on here, getting together, having a laugh. We all had a flag, all met up for parties, or just boaty get togethers around the country. Holidays on boats in the med. Parties in posh houses in London, every one came to look at Mucky Farter on her world cruise. We seem to have reverted to Gardeners Question Time again!!

That's the nature of forums I'm afraid (or should that be fora?) I remember having a long conversation off-line on the subject with one (Doctor) Boomer - remember that name? She was a poster here whilst she was writing a treatis on the subject. Saw some of her work - really revealing!

From some of the replies, it would seem that this year, a lot of peeps have committments this year at this time, such as Planty, BarryH, Duncan & myself for instance. Later in the year may work better this year time, when I would certainly hope I could fit it in with my work schedule.

I can understand your disappointment Pauline, not much of a consolation I know, but I am sure that later in the year, we will be around knocking on Tommy's transom at some point. If I can keep Theresa out of the harbour that is. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I must get a flag off you Haydn, now Fred has got his trellis work back on the front of his boat he may not speak to me without one, will find a large SAE and bang it off to you.
Look nice next to my hoover gold card member flag.
