Couple problems on this engine Low Oil level alarm was going off , faulty sensor or tank so disconnected that stopped alarm, after a few minutes on start up alarm goes off once then after a few more minutes goes off again ? ,Scrolled through the guages and water temp , voltage ; water pressure seems all ok anyone have any idea what else makes buzzer go off Thanks

Is the alarm giving a series of beeps or continual. Different beeps can tell you what the problem may be. I had a few beeps every few minutes and that was engine over voltage so failing rectifier/regulator. Is your volt meter reading from the battery or the output of the engine ?

Thanks for replying , The engine gives a single beep every few minutes , there is a little flashing engine symbol in top right corner of one of the guages ? Scrolling through the (smart craft guage I’m assuming its output voltage from engine

There are two possible causes to the 4 beebs every two minutes. First is oil and the second is water in the fuel.

Keep in mind that the magnetic float inside the oil tank often fails and not necessarily the actually sender with the two wires. Sometimes the sender can be good but the actual tank magnet can be bad requiring the tank to be replaced. Or also as mentioned it could also be water in the fuel. It would not be a bad idea to remove the fuel filter and check for water.

i have checked the magnet in the tank by turning it upside down an back up several times w/ my meter hooked to it an it seems to be working . i will check for water an see what i find be back w/ u later thankx

No problem, thanks so much. look forward to hearing back. Have a great day.

Hi there, I was just checking in to see if you found water in the fuel and or still an oil problem. Thanks so much

its still alarming . i found no water in the fuel an the oil tank seems to be working i used my meter to check the magnet in the tank an checked sensor they check out fine

Ok great, often times those sensors will test good when using an ohm meter to test with. The best thing to do is to disconnect the wires at the tank and connect the two wires from the engine side of the harness together. Then check for the alarm. If you still have an alarm then we can go to the next step. Thanks so much, have a great day

Many thanks for that info , I did have the 4 beeps every 2 minutes and assumed it was the oil sensor or float as I bridged the wires and that sorted the 4 bleeps out , this comes on every few minutes just one bleep then goes off , Thanks again
