Hi everyone
New here
Our tender outboard is leaking bad just before we’re about to head out on a trip ?
It was serviced last year and not used since. Just started it up in a barrel and ran for ten minutes. No problem hit kill switch and tried to repeat process. Started but cuts out when revs applied. Checked fuel level and it was empty. Topped it up a litre and its coming out as quick as it’s going in. From the two small pipes underneath and the front of the carb. Il try attach pics
Any ideas?

The pipes have shrunk and are leaking at the connectors or there are small hairline cracks in the fuel line letting it out.

i had that on a petrol model airplane once and it took ages to realise it was that and actually find the very very fine split.

Good luck. C

Thanks guys for the replies. I stripped the carb down. On the whole I couldn’t see any stand out issues but I removed the jet. The float pin etc and cleaned everything up. Put it all back together. Got to the point it’s now starting first pull. No leaking fuel at all but if I twist throttle from idle it hesitates and 9/10 times cuts out on me unless I am very careful on and off on and off untill it passes the hesitation. Any ideas guys?

Look at the petcock. They're rubbish. but if it's coming out the overflow then FlowerPower is bang on. Check the needle and seat on the float and the o-ring on the needle is still present and good.
