Mercury 2.5 water tell tale.

Whilst flushing through with fresh water nothing was coming out of the tell tale hole. The hole often gets blocked; removal of the small hose, and a prod with a piece of wire does the trick.
Unfortunately this time the hose tail, which looks like it's aluminium, snapped off. Water is now pouring out but going into the cowling. Much googling hasn't come up with anything.
Anybody on here had this problem?

Id have expected it to be plastic but you dont give any details of engine ( 2T, 4T, year , serial number)

Replacement part should be avaialble if its a 2T

get part number ( 812960 ?) Obtain from your preferred Mercury dealer but you'll probably have to make up a minimum order .. water pump kit ?? carb kit ???, anything else you need oil??
