I have an ongoing problem with the Bravo 3 leg on my boat and until I sort this out, I cant use the boat or even think about doing anything else Ive got planned with it. After waiting nearly a month for the last set of parts, Ive just been told I could be waiting a further 6 weeks for another part I require.

What I intend to do now is try and order the part direct from the US however I need a link to a site someone has successfully used for the same sort of thing.

Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi, The only link I have is a Mercruiser dealer who is based on the Thames at Caversham. he services and supplies parts for Mercruiser. Not a direct link, I know, but he may be able to help. Its Walker Outboard Services. His number is 07831 610631.

Try these guys, very helpful.....

mercstuff

Or a cheap replacement.......

Sterndrive Engineering

Have used the first one for my little boat and found the second whilst searching for them about a year ago, they rebuild units and seem very genuine.

Good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah but I think these are all pattern parts suppliers, aren't they? iirc, the original poster has problems with a brand new boat, and use of non-Merc bits may hamper any future claim on his guarantee just a little bit.....

Brand new boat!?
Think he has a yr 2000 sea ray 260!
And if it was new then he should'nt be working on the leg himself surely?

I believe this was a link to keypart - who are mainly consumables and, in my experience, to be avoided in relation to BIII anodes but I can't speak about anything else. They certainly do not stock major components like shafts.

[/ QUOTE ] I think someone else (professional) is doing the work but are unable to source the parts they (now) say they need.

I have no link to Keypart at all,but think(infact know)that they are certainly not consumables only??

There was one company in the UK that had a new carb for my 5.7 on the shelf last Sept and yep it was them, you name it and they either have it or can get it at very short notice.

You tried all these guys then that were proposed when you asked the same question the other day?

Yep - Don't stock the shaft I require, they also only sold aftermarket seals, not OEM. Anyway, it wasn't the same question, I was firstly enquiring as to how long parts actually took to arrive, this time I want to order myself from the US if possible.
